Joe Coulter graduated from Queena’s University, Belfast with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology in 2014. Joe has worked with Panarts in a marketing and ambassadorial role, promoting and celebrating the cultural links between Belfast and Nashville. As a Fulbright TechImpact Scholar, Joe will be hosted by Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee, where his research will focus on piloting a bespoke IT program he has created to help develop the IT skills of older musicians, many of whom have felt marginalized and outpaced by the fast moving changes in the world of IT, a situation worsened by the impact of COVID-19. Joe will replicate his Fulbright research in Belfast, thus creating an international community of learners. Joe is an advocate for the arts and recently formed the ‘691 Initiative to encourage creativity in this sector. Joe’s wider research focuses on the interfaces between technology, peace and the arts.
