Jo-Michael Scheibe

Jo-Michael Scheibe, D.M.A. is a Professor Emeritus of Choral Music at the University of Miami and the University of Southern California. Scheibe served the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) as National President and Western Division President, and the International Federation for Choral Music as a board member.

Ensembles under his leadership performed at national ACDA conventions, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the National Conference of the National Collegiate Choral Organization, and the World Choral Symposium in South Korea.

Scheibe collaborations include artists Luciano Pavarotti, JosA© Carreras, the Rolling Stones, Sir Elton John, and the Eagles, and he prepared choruses for Helmuth Rilling, Sir Colin Davis, Michael Tilson Thomas, James Judd, Carl St. Clair, and Jeffrey Kahane.

Scheibe will be based in Balbriggan at the Irish Institute of Music and Song and leading courses in Choral Conducting, Choral Methods, and conducting the IIMS Chamber Chorale. He will also travel to Galway, Dublin, and Derry for lectures, clinics, and workshops.
