Henry Martin is a PhD candidate in the School of Visual Culture at NCAD. He has a BA International in English and Philosophy (NUIG), MA in Theatre (RHUL), and MRes in the Art Market and the History of Collecting (University of Buckingham / National Gallery, UK). Henry’s doctoral research focuses on early 20th Century American women art dealers and modernism. As a Fulbright-Creative Ireland Museum Fellow at the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Henry will study dealer archives, Smithsonian collections, and create a database of dealers and artists in his subject area. Henry has previously lectured at Camberwell College of Arts and is author of Agnes Martin: Pioneer, Painter, Icon, and numerous plays.
