Elaine Ní Mhuirí

Elaine graduated with a first-class honours degree in Applied Languages (Irish, French and Spanish) from University of Limerick in 2023. She was elected as Secretary of the Irish Society in 2022 and received a gold President’s Volunteer Award as a result of her voluntary work. Elaine is a current mentor on Conradh na Gaeilge’s ‘Gníomhaí Gaeilge’ peer mentoring scheme. As a pianist, she has performed at many Royal Irish Academy of Music recitals.
Currently studying an MA in Irish at University of Limerick, Elaine is also an Irish language tutor to undergraduate students. Her masters research focuses on the basis of folklore in contemporary Irish poetry. She has presented her research to date at numerous academic conferences.
Bhain Elaine céim chéad onóracha sna Teangacha Feidhmeacha (an Ghaeilge, an Fhraincis agus an Spáinnis) amach in Ollscoil Luimnigh sa bhliain 2023. Ceapadh ina Runaí ar an gCumann Gaelach sa bhliain 2022 í. Bhronn Uachtarán na hOllscoile gradam óir uirthi de thairbhe na hoibre deonaí seo.
Is meantóir reatha ar an scéim ‘Gníomhaí Gaeilge’ de chuid Chonradh na Gaeilge í. Mar phianódóir, tá an pianó seinnte aici ag ceadail an Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Tá sí ag tabhairt faoi MA sa Ghaeilge in Ollscoil Luimnigh faoi láthair agus is teagascóir le Gaeilge ann í chomh maith. Díríonn a taighde máistreachta ar bhunús an bhéaloidis i bhfilíocht chomhaimseartha na Gaeilge. Tá a taighde go dtí seo curtha i láthair aici ag comhdhálacha acadúla.
