Dr David Fisher is a professor at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN. He has a joint appointment between the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and a B.S. from Rose-Hulman. His profession interests include mobile app development, web development, and robotics. Dr Fisher is passionate about outreach programs and wants to help provide opportunities for more women and underrepresented minorities to join computer science. As a Fulbright Scholar he will join the staff at the University of Limerick in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. His Fulbright proposal is focused on OResearching the Gender Gap in Computer Science and Teaching Mobile App Development.
