Rosanne Burson is an Associate Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy focusing on graduate education and the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Coordinator. She is a certified diabetes educator, nurse educator and clinical nurse specialist with extensive experience in chronic disease management. She was elected as a Fellow of the American Association of Diabetes Educators in 2014. She has published in the area of self-management and diabetes, as well as the topic of the DNP project and practice scholarship. Rosanne completed her doctorate at Madonna University, MSN in Adult Health from Oakland University, Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and her BSN from Nazareth College. The Fulbright scholarship will focus on collaborating with Dublin City University’s Centre for eIntergrated Care to address the need for self-management in chronic disease utilizing informatics and integrative models of care in Ireland.
