Dr Tener Goodwin Veenema is an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response, Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is the Editor of Disaster Nursing and Emergency Preparedness for Chemical, Biological and Radiological Terrorism and Other Hazards, the leading textbook in the field. Dr. Veenema will be teaching leadership in health care systems at RCSI and will be assisting in the development of RCSI Advanced Nurse Practitioner programs. Dr. Veenema will be conducting an analysis of health professionals and service preparedness for disaster/major incident management in Ireland with particular focus on the leadership skills required.
