Fulbright E.U.-NATO Seminar 2024
In February 2024, the Fulbright Commission in Brussels welcomed American Fulbright grantees to Belgium and Luxembourg for the forty-first annual Fulbright Seminar to the European Union and NATO.

Grantees came from a wide range of backgrounds, including political science, philosophy, economics, law, sociology, environmental science, biology, and others.
Participants visited the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg, the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Commission, the European Parliament, NATO Headquarters and the U.S. Mission to the European Union.
One of the highlights of the seminar was a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Julianne Smith.
2023-2024 Fulbright-UCD Taught Master's Awardee Emma Tavangari said...
'At the European Union Court of Justice, we got to watch the live proceedings for a case, as well as chat with several of the presiding justices who conducted a Q&A about the substantive content of the case and their work in general. I’d say overall that was my favorite day given my interest in law and comparative law more generally. Overall, my highlight was getting to meet and connect with other Fulbright scholars from across the continent!'
