Dr. Adam Mathews is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at Binghamton University (State University of New York). He conducts research with and teaches about mapping technologies and geographic methods from geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing to cartography and spatial statistics.

As a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Galway (hosted by the Department of Earth & Ocean Sciences and the School of Geography, Archaeology & Irish Studies), Adam will collaborate with colleagues to examine local-scale three-dimensional surface dynamics of peatland environments using drone remote sensing methods. He will also guest lecture and contribute to courses/modules on remote sensing and GIS in both host departments.
