Elva Mulchrone

Elva Mulchrone is a visual artist, currently a recipient of The Dublin City Council Incubation Space Award 2024. Her work is concerned with the recurrent pattern of inequality in the human experience. Prior to 2006 she practised as a lawyer. She has been awarded many grants and bursaries including a 2024 Residency and Fellowship at Ballinglen Museum of Art and was Visual Artist in Residence 2022/23 at Dublin City University (DCU). She has exhibited widely in Europe and America. Her work is in many public and private collections including the OPW (Irish State), Trinity College Dublin and DCU collections.
As a Fulbright scholar at CUNY Graduate Centre she will conduct archival and observational research on the nature and systems of inequality in the NYC educational experience of children, participate in working groups and utilise and incorporate all research into the creation of fine art – paintings, drawings, and performance art.
