Dr Nuria de Cos Lara is a researcher and a poet. Her research focuses on 20th century Spanish and Irish poetry, with a particular focus on modernism and the works of Juan Ramón Jiménez (1881-1958). As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr de Cos will research Jiménez’s importance for the international literary stage, which will in turn help further highlight the strong ties that Jiménez, as a Spanish exile and poet, had to the Caribbean, the US, and Ireland. The project will draw on the Juan Ramón Jiménez’s archive at the University of Puerto Rico.
