"Today we launch the Fulbright Irish Awards 2024-2025, and as Chair of the Fulbright Board and a Fulbright Alumna, I strongly encourage students, scholars and professionals to apply for these fantastic opportunities. Fulbright has a longstanding history of academic and professional excellence, expertise and leadership and cross-cultural collaboration, that is crucial to finding solutions to current global challenges and working together toward common goals."

Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Ireland, Dr Dara FitzGerald, said
“The international network of colleagues, experts, students, scholars, professionals, peers and friends that make up Fulbright Alumni are the strength and spirit of the Fulbright Programme. While a Fulbright Award offers unparalleled career opportunities, enriching Awardees’ education and advancing their professions, simultaneously the impact on the lives of Fulbrighters is undeniable through cultural exchange, memorable experiences, meaningful collaborations and deepened personal connections. I urge students, scholars and professionals from all disciplines and backgrounds to ‘shoot for the stars’ and apply for the Fulbright Irish Awards 2024-2025."

The U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Claire Cronin, said...
“The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s preeminent international educational and cultural exchange initiative and plays a crucial role in strengthening the unique relationship shared by the United States and Ireland, creating lasting connections, building mutual understanding and advancing knowledge across communities to solve global problems.”

Tánaiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin T.D., said…
“The Fulbright Programme has given thousands of people the opportunity to pursue educational and cultural exchanges between Ireland and the United States, strengthening ties across the Atlantic. Fulbrighters collaborate, share research, ideas and culture and contribute to finding solutions to global problems. The Government of Ireland is proud to support this excellent programme through the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
