Luke is a Ph.D. candidate at Trinity College. His research investigates directors’ duties and climatic risks and is funded by an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Scholarship. As a Fulbright EPA Awardee Luke will focus on the US elements of his thesis at Harvard Law School. Prior to this Luke will undertake a Congressional Fellowship in Capitol Hill as part of the Washington Ireland Program. Luke holds a First – Class LL.B. with a Gold Medal from Trinity and a BCL, Masters in Law, from the University of Oxford where he graduated with Distinction as the Honoré Scholar. Luke is interested in combating climate change and promoting sustainable development. He founded the educational initiative EnviED, a project for which he was awarded as Ireland’s Most Outstanding Young Person Under 40 for Academic Leadership 2021. Luke was also named Irish Law Student of the Year 2022 in recognition of his research.
