Phyllis Zagano, Ph.D. is Senior Research Associate-in-Residence at Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY, USA and author of the award-winning Holy Saturday: An Argument for the Restoration of the Female Diaconate in the Catholic Church and 16 other books in Catholic studies. During Spring 2009, she was Visiting Lecturer and Fulbright Fellow at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Her column “Just Catholic” appears in the National Catholic Reporter online and in newspapers and journals around the world.
